More SB Clothes :)
I'm so not winning any type of motherhood awards this morning. One, we had cinnamon toast for breakfast. Bread, butter, cinanmon, sugar. Ya, no nutrition in that lol
Then here I am, trying to catch up on stuff on my pc. And Natalie starts talking. I mean talking a million words a minute. Then I see this...
(got to love zoom)
Natalie, what are you doing? I drinkin like mama! BURP!
The whites came out of the laundry. I have a few more pieces that were missed that I'll add later. I told you it was a lot! :)
Here are some yard sale finds that I've just now got out of the laundry. This was all $1.75. The purse is adorable!
Bye for now!

Thanks SB!
See, don't they look like pieces I'd buy? And these are just part of them (and if you ask, Kim, why do you blog about this, it is so I can remember who gave Natalie what and when!). I'll post more pictures as they come out of the laundry. All the winter stuff is for this winter, I can say my shopping for her clothes is 100% done! (not that it will stop me from buying more because I apparently have a little kid clothing issue - ha!)
New Store and Happy News
I've decided to get out of my poor me mood. It all came about when I sold stock too soon and could of made a lot more (made is a loose term, I could of recovered) if I had waited two days. I am pretty bad at beating myself up about things like that. Can't focus on the amount I did make (and it is a nice amount), it's that other chunk oh change I missed out on. ARG! lol
So let's focus on positives...
Whew I think that is it. We leave a week from today!
So let's focus on positives...
- I am 98% sure I got a scholarship for preschool. Who knew I was the poorest one in the bunch? (ok I knew! lol). It was confirmed verbally over the phone, I am waiting on the official paper. I was told I didn't have to make my payment on Monday. I am holding my breath, worried that there will be a glitch and I'll have to suddenly catch up on payments. I pay $115 a week with subsidized lunch ($15) and the scholarship is for $129 until Feb 1st and $119 after that for up to one year. Plus they are suppose to back date it to the date of application and I'll get a refund for three weeks. Again, trying not to get too excited!
- My 401K has recovered 12K in the past 3-4 months and now is only 1K in the hole. Go Citi stock go!
- A woman my Mom works with gave me three large bags of clothes for Natalie. Her style is exactly my style and all the pieces mixed in with what the kiddo had already. yay!
- I redeemed my Chase Rewards and got a $92 Disney gift card to spend on the trip :)
- I redeemed my Charter promo and ordered a $75 Shell gas card that should be here any day.
- I am selling charms on Ebay. They are cute little pearl cage holders. We are going to pick a pearl in Japan in Epcot and put our pearls in them. The Japan store has a lot of things to choose from but no Disney styles so I ordered a bunch of these from China for our party of 6 on the trip. I added the two styles to my sidebar if anyone is interested.
- Mom and I are going to start sewing little girl's dresses. I'll post them when they are ready...like in 5 months lol.
Whew I think that is it. We leave a week from today!

Yard Sale Weekend - wheee!
There are three main streets and side streets for these sales. We normally get there at 7:30 and end at 1 and have seen it all. Today we got there at 8 and left at 1 and only made it through half!
Everyone had a sale. Normally it is every 5 houses. It was more like every 3 houses this time. I guess everyone is selling things because of the economy. I also lost track of how many houses were for sale in this neighborhood. Normally there are 2. Now there are 30+. Yards that had been HGTV worthy in the last were all run down and weedy. All the annuals that were normally out just weren't there. I know of some people that have lost their jobs and had a change in lifestyle because of it, but this was the first neighborhood in my area that REALLY showed the turn. wow!
Ok, so on to the fun stuff :)
I SO wanted these pieces when they came out but they were $67 soo um no lol I paid $6.25 for all three pieces.
Gymbo pants, $2.25 and Gymbo mermaid top, 75 cents
Kohl's kitty top, $1.50, old navy tank, $1
Gymbo board shorts, new $2, funny tshirt of two girls talking on the phone (one gets a kitten), 50 cents
Old navy polo, 75 cents. Not sure of the brand demin shorts, 25 cents. (this is one of my favorite houses, she has twins that are 1 year older than Natalie, I always get their kid's stuff).
Gap pants, 50 cents. No name shorts, 25 cents
Minnie backpack, isn't she cute?
Corcs for me! yay! Real crocs too. Yes I know they are ugly, I'll refrain from wearing them to work and keep them as my fugly weekend shoes. 50 cents!
Seashell planter, $1. Kitten, priceless!
15 Disney hardback books in new condition. $6!
A new romper to resell and a 3piece pj set for now :), $1 each
A christmas outfit to resell (not this bright, my flash really made this look neon), $1
a lamaze catepillar to resell, $1. An umbrella, 50 cents! I always loose umbrellas. Plaid is not my favorite, but if it is clean and cheap I'll get it.
Gymbo pony top, $1
BIG breadbox, not the prettiest thing but very functional. $3.
Leap Frog musical caterpillar, she loves it. Plays 15 songs, $1.
My little oil painting for my bathroom, $1.
I didn't see a single piece of adult clothing in suitable selling condition today. I was hopeful to find something for me for our trip in TWO WEEKS (woot!).
bye for now!

Like a Kid at Christmas!
It's sale time! It's sale time!
Yard sale heaven starts tomorrow! This is the sale that I buy a ton of stuff at. Check out last year's haul! (and just a little bit of trivia, this will be the 4th year I've blogged about it. I love my blog!) I hope to find clothes for myself, some things to help me organize our pantry shelf thing in the kitchen and books! Lots and lots of books! I can't stomach the price of new books so I simply don't buy them. I've not had anything to read in two months. Plus I hope to find some things to add to my consignment pile for mid Sept :)
I did a fun Walgreens run today! I picked up a prescription that I needed anyway and got a $25 check to use in the store. So I bought three Treseme (sp?) shampoos, 3 Listerine mouthwashes and a toothpaste. That came out to $25.17 so I happily paid 17 cents for all of that after my check.
THEN I took the 3 off of $15 that printed at the pharmacy, the $5 from Treseme, $6 from Listerine and $3 from Colgate to use on 3 packs of pullups and three pieces of candy. I also had $3.50 in manu coupons to use on the pull ups. In the end, $9something for all of it, paid with my acient WAG GC from the Easyaver rebates (which they've stopped doing - OOHH so sad). I can't wait for the next big deal, I have $15 left on that old card!
I have an itch. One to do something big and huge. You'd think buying a new house would of scratched that itch, but nope! I am leaning towards buying a piece of land to build a house on in 5 years or so. Also, I've found a condo in Myrtle beach that is uber cheap that I am trying to find people to go in on it with me. The land costs twice the amount as the condo sale (told you it was cheap!) and one, possibly both, are doable with a long enough loan. I think the main reason I have this itch (drum roll please), my stock account is rather healthy. It is back to 100%? Nope. But when I have $1700 week without any effort, I am optimistic I'll get it all back. AND my 401K? It is really close to being back too! Like 3K short now! Instead of 13K! So if the whole money thing will work itself out, I'd rather commit any extra cash to a big ticket item like land or a condo instead of buying sweaters or even a new car. Heck I'd eat PB sandwiches everyday if I was doing it while sitting on the beach!
Off to bed I go, we leave at 7am for my sales. I have money. LOTS AND LOTS of money to spend on it! Been saving it up! YAY! (I'm excited). Bye!

Saturday Update
I know this is weird, but I love to read about groceries on other people's blog. How much they paid for them, what type of stuff they buy and what they do with them. So..that being said, here are my groceries for the week lol
All this produce was $15, I am a much better farmers market shopper than my Mom! Check out the little white eggplant!
Wow Kim, what a healthy shopper you are! Hee hee not really, see below.
The ham, pringles, bread and bananas (that you can't see) are from a regular grocer. The rest is from the salvage place. It is a scratch and dent/surplus type place. They do have expired items, you have to be careful in what you get. My big score? 9 pounds of bacon for $6 lol It is thick cut and odd shapes but tasty! I also got soft scrub for $1.49 instead of three something. Oh and my fiber one bars for $1.39, I wonder why they were there? Good until 2010!
So I spent $45.09 for the week. I might send Dad out for more bread later in the week. We've mostly been eating tomatoes, we have maybe 10 left from last week that will be gone by the end of the weekend. I chop them up, sprinkle them with bacon and eat them like an inside out BLT..well BT :) But even with a bread run surely we can keep the week to $50 (since there are two fully stocked fridges here already!). I am trying to communicate to my dad that a deal isn't a deal if it gets thrown away. And that if too much of something is made, put the leftovers in the freezer. That is our biggest battle, well except for water on my counter tops. I swear I pull out the no wire coathangers voice when I see puddles of water. The water will seep under the laminate and cause it to swell - twitch - twitch.
I've found some great things for the baby in yard sales this weekend but I didn't take pictures (ya, I took pictures of a watermelon, but not my yard sale items). I got several items to resell so that makes me happy! I am going to be opening a second savings account just for cash I make in reselling things. I'd like to save it up for our next Disney trip in 3 years!
Have I mentioned we leave for Disney in 3 weeks :) 21 DAYS! WOOT! I am going to finish packing up the baby's clothes tonight. Because I constantly buy her stuff (hhmmm...why do I do that? lol) she has the 28 outfits she needs for Disney then enough to wear to daycare too. In my defense, most of the outfits are $5 or less and she'll be wearing some of it next year to :)
I ordered "wish" pearl cages from China a few days ago. In Epcot, in Japan, you can pay $17 to pick an oyster with a pearl in it. These cage just clamp around the pearl and you put it on a chain. I bought 70 of them, 7 of them are going on the trip but I hope to sell the others on Ebay. The profit on each is very small, but they are small to store and I can pack orders when the kiddo is asleep :)
Earlier in the week, Food City had shrimp for $1.50 a pound. I don't know if someone messed up the label machine or not, but I picked up 3 pounds. Well, they were preseasoned and a little tough and salty.
MEH
So I peeled them, rinsed them and ran them through my food processor. I added onion, green pepper, eggs and a box of corn muffin mix.
BAM!
Are these officially shrimp fritters? If they have corn in them? They were tasty. I took the rest of the chopped up shrimp with onion and green pepper and froze it in 2 baches for soup later on.
Today Natalie visited her first ice cream truck. I swear I can hear his little song playing a mile away. Natalie was slowly waking from her nap and I yelled at her Natalie hurry ice cream! and scared the pee out of her. She can running out screaming, looking for fire I guess. We missed him on our street - poo! So I turn around to open the door (you can guess what is coming right?) LOCKED! So I go to my car and hit the garage door opener. The inside door was...LOCKED! So my last point of entry, the back deck was luckily open! (all this time Natalie is standing in the yard, looking at me like I'm a moron wondering where the ice cream is). Oh I need to metion I am wearing a tshirt, PJ bottoms and no shoes lol So I sprint through the house, get the keys, toss her in the front seat (which would of been treat enough) and catch him as he's drivng out of the neighborhood.
She got a sour popsicle as her first treat. It was huge and she gave me a bite. It was actually really good, next time Mama will get one too!
That is it for now - bye!

I love the farmer's market :)
Today my Mom did my shopping at the FM since she was going anyway (it is on her side of town). We got cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes (TONS AND TONS!), some of the best corn ever, zucchini and green beans. It was quite a haul for $26. It was so pretty all spread out so I took pictures :)
We went to eat Chinese with Mom for her birthday - yum! I also hit up Lane Bryant with TWO $15 off of $15 coupons, I bought 4 shirts for $7.68 woohoo. I also bought a fantastic dress for the baby from baby gap (because she doesn't have any clothes - poor thing - haha).
(two different kinds of tomatoes, aren't we fancy?)
