I leave a week from tomorrow to drive to Miami to hop on a boat. It was a last minute reservation, I got an email saying I could do a 5 day cruise for $279 a person. $279? heck sign me up and my mom too!
We are leaving out of Miami on the Imagination. It is an older ship, similar to the Inspiration that I was on 2 years ago. Friday is driving, Saturday we get on the boat at noonish, Sunday we are at sea, Monday we are in Jamaica, Tuesday we are in Grand Cayman and Wenesday we are back at sea. They'll kick us off the boat Thursday morning at the crack of dawn. We plan to drive back slowly and stop at a beach or two on the way back since we don't have to be back to work until Monday.
Should I be planning more trips? Probably not. But it helps pass the time and I think I suffer from that "it's cold and yucko" winter syndrom. I need warmth, the sun and the ocean!
Think about this for a minute...at work I often set things to expire 90 days from when they were submitted. Today it was 5-8-07...whoa..that is just a month off from when I think I'll get my referral! Just 4 months to go until I see her picture...6 until I get to pick her up. She's been born, I hope someone is feeding her well and loving on her. If I knew where she was I'd take 3 months unpaid FMLA to take care of her myself!
But since I can't do that I'll just stay awake at night worrying about her and planning out things to do to pass the time. My bank account is taking a hit but after our low bonus this year so I wasn't going to meet my goals anyway. Savings smavings get me on a boat!

Wow a cruise that is going to be fun and a great way to pass time while waiting for your referral.
I saved nothing too so I would not worry..that is what loans are for...go enjoy yourself!
